Release 2025.1 - Reports, Meal Options, Viewer Role and more

We are excited to share a summary of exciting new functionality in Embrayse, some of which you may already have noticed in the app.

Embrayse Reports

The new reporting functionality has been available to select users for some time, and is now generally available to all our customers and providers. Embrayse Reports, built on the powerful Microsoft Power BI platform, provide deep insights into your residents’ dietary needs and catering service.

The new Residents report gives you a snapshot of your residents and their dietary requirements. The filtering capability makes it easy to create reports on residents with specific needs, while the export option allows you to further augment your reporting needs.

Resident dietary profile report

The Orders report takes thing one step further, giving an overview of the resident dining choices over any period of time, and across any number of facilities. You can easily see where people are choosing to dine, be it in their room or in a dining area. You can also see what menu options have been offered to residents, their frequency, total and average number of orders placed. This not only helps you identify which meals are liked or disliked by residents, it can inform your purchasing as you can project the number of orders that each meal is likely to attract.

To assist with investigating issues such as weight loss, you can select a resident and view what they have been ordering during that time period.

Note: Currently the reports are accessible Mon - Fri between 7:00am and 7:00pm AEST.

Meal Options

Meal Options is a new way to offer your residents even more choice in how they would like their meals, while saving your staff valuable time in capturing those choices. You can now give a menu item any number of options, which can be selected when ordering that item. This feature is particularly useful for meals like sandwiches and salads, where you would typically offer options like Ham, Cheese, Tomato, White Bread, Brown Bread, and more. Instead of having to type these options, staff can now quickly select multiple options. As with other customisations to a meal (e.g. portion size and notes), selected options are "remembered" for each resident and automatically reapplied to a meal when it’s chosen again by that resident in the future.

Improved Resident Search

Finding a resident in Embrayse, whether it’s to collect their order or view their order for plating, is an important part of your team’s workflow. All resident search boxes now support searching not only by name, but also by room number, making the process easy even for new staff who may not yet be familiar with all resident names.

Viewer Role

We have added a new user role called Viewer. A user with this role is able to view most information in Embrayse, such as resident details, orders, feedback, and reports, but without the ability to make any changes. This is ideal for users who need read-only access, such as head office staff, dietitians, and auditors.
